Welcome back to RSQ! We all hope that your holidays were relaxing and wonderful! We ourselves have taken a brief hiatus from the road to enjoy the holidays at home. Consequently though I don't have any embarasing road stories...and thats admittedly a bummer.
We'll have to then stick to our news which next puts RSQ in Myrtle Beach January 21st and 22nd for the Quilt Party On the Beach. But don't let the name fool you because it's strictly buissiness and quilting. Fun in the sun...and double diamonds. But mostly double diamonds. Pam has a retreat in the works for this weekend at Creative Escapes which is as always sure to be a relaxing catalyst to our friends' creativity. Also speaking of Creative Escapes Sue Hausmann's visit was a pleasure as always and we want to thank her and everyone else who enjoyed that with us.
Chuck has been searching for the perfect fanny-pack (which evidently combines exceptional storage space and contemporary men's fashion...?). I suggested denim and he just laughed. But I was serious. I'm not sure I really get the whole fanny pack thing. Chip has been working to un-bury himself from all the quilting jobs that had piled up from the holidays and the results are new and impressive in my oppinion.
The holidays also brought a visit from our favorite Kennedy, Jo-Jo as she was able to leave the bleak Haiwian landscape to celebrate with us. It's always nice to see a Kennedy that I've not ever seen lose their temper on a bobbin.
News from the shop is exciting for folks that are planning ahead for their spring projects but also for those who are REALLY planning ahead for next holiday season's projects because we have winter/holiday theme prints/fabrics marked down to up to 50% off!! Great time to consider the project that you just didn't get around to during the madness of the season this year; there's always next year and we can help you to do it for cheaper than ever (see so there WAS a reason you put it off afterall!). But again for those looking happily ahead toward spring and working on projects with that in mind, we have begun receiving and displaying our spring fabrics. Lots of new brights and beautiful prints waiting for our friends' creativity to bring them to life. We are also carrying a new ruler designed to make fast and easy prairie points that looks very exciting and we really can't wait to see what you all come up with! Much like Double Diamond rulers this new one makes even me myself capable of seemingly complicated technique so I encourage you all to check it out.
Also in Shop news both Gidget and Eli have been spoken to about their gambling problems and have both professed New-Years resolutions to put their family/RSQ first in 2011.
I think that's all the news for now. Before I sign off though I want to sincerely thank you all for making 2010 the great and fun year that it was for us all at RSQ because we never could do it without our customers and friends. Thank you all so very much from RSQ and we want to help you all to make 2011's projects even greater than last year for every last one of you.
Until next time...Quilt strong!
Tyson.

Hello again from RSQ! In the second installment of this "weekly" blog I'm affraid that I dont have as much to talk about because the main reservoir of material has left town for a bit. In other words I havnt seen chip do anything embarasing in days and I dont even know if Chuck gets the channel for Dr. Phil where he is.
I'm refering indirectly of course to RSQ's involvment in the Mancuso Quilt show now taking place in West Palm Beach. News from the road is good and I expect all of the inevitable RV-related tension to dissolve within mere days of the kennedy's return to warren.
Another bit of current news that comes to mind is that Pam is nearing completion of her purse design patterns that will be available at RSQ as early as Nov. 22nd if things all continue to go smoothly.
As of now I suffer from blogger's block but it occurs to me to remmind all our friends out there that their oppinions and personalities are always welcome here on the blog as well as at the shop and I suppose that for now that's all from RSQ and until next time...Quilt Strong.

Hello and welcome to RSQ's blog! In light of our first installment Pam and Chuck have asked me to lay down a few guidelines beginning with an introduction; I am Tyson J Robbins and the opinions expressed herein are my own and do not necessarily reflect those of Paramount Pictures or RSQ (consider this a disclaimer like the ones from DVD commentary tracks) I originally got to know the Kennedy family through Chip as we were roommates in college and I have been a direct hindrance to them for the last nine years. Also Chuck has asked me to clear up the air a bit and to mention that Dr. Phil only airs coincidentally during his daily quilting sessions and that it is not planned that way on purpose. Well that all having been said, we can move along.
RSQ's blog is mostly to let all of you know what is new and upcoming with RSQ and also to provide a channel for our friends and customers to talk to us directly as we all enjoy our hobby of quilting. Feel free to share with us and each other product comments and how-to pointers or whatever else comes naturally to mind. Furthermore aside from the formality we would also like to hear from you the inevitable and hysterical happenings that you experience while pursuing our shared dream of quilting perfection. In other words, lets have fun with OUR blog and consider it an extension of our shop where of course, your presence and personalities are always welcome! It'll be fun and easy, you'll see! In fact I'll get things started...
What is new with us at RSQ? Well personally as you can see I have been asked to start doing a weekly blog (I was assured that it was to be on a "probationary" basis and only until I "mess it up") and frankly it beats loading and unloading the truck/RV continuously! But seriously though I'm excited about our blog and we're gonna have a lot of fun I think (but I'm going to need your help so please post your thoughts!) Chip is continuing his love affair with his creation the pumpkin-go-round quilt design. Of course Pam created the piecing concept of the first pumpkin-go-round and the pattern was a Thimbleberries design (and is available at RSQ). In my opinion each pumpkin Chip quilts is cooler than the last and he remains dedicated to creating the perfect thread portrayal of a pumpkin patch.
Pam is likewise continuing to create her popular embroidered denim jacket designs (also of course available at RSQ) and is trying to somehow finish piecing projects at a rate that keeps both her husband and son happy and quilting (they both seem at peace and more importantly quiet when quilting so it's a winning formula she's discovered).
Chuck is preparing the group and inventory for the West Palm Beach Florida expo taking place from Nov. 7th to 9th. and also trying to live-down his daily Dr. Phil quilting sessions.
Gidget and Eli of course remain silent owners of RSQ but really never get their hands dirty with any actual work. Although they are often accused of laziness and free-loading we all know it wouldn't quite be RSQ without our little pals.
So I think that's the news for now from your quilting friends down by the Allegeheny. I really can't stress enough how much we look forward to hearing from you all here on our Blog and in just the same way that you all help to make the shop our quilting playground we know that you'll do the same for this forum too! So until the next post...Have wonderful days/projects and celebrate the love of our shared hobby of quilting!
