Welcome back to RSQ! We all hope that your holidays were relaxing and wonderful! We ourselves have taken a brief hiatus from the road to enjoy the holidays at home. Consequently though I don't have any embarasing road stories...and thats admittedly a bummer.
We'll have to then stick to our news which next puts RSQ in Myrtle Beach January 21st and 22nd for the Quilt Party On the Beach. But don't let the name fool you because it's strictly buissiness and quilting. Fun in the sun...and double diamonds. But mostly double diamonds. Pam has a retreat in the works for this weekend at Creative Escapes which is as always sure to be a relaxing catalyst to our friends' creativity. Also speaking of Creative Escapes Sue Hausmann's visit was a pleasure as always and we want to thank her and everyone else who enjoyed that with us.
Chuck has been searching for the perfect fanny-pack (which evidently combines exceptional storage space and contemporary men's fashion...?). I suggested denim and he just laughed. But I was serious. I'm not sure I really get the whole fanny pack thing. Chip has been working to un-bury himself from all the quilting jobs that had piled up from the holidays and the results are new and impressive in my oppinion.
The holidays also brought a visit from our favorite Kennedy, Jo-Jo as she was able to leave the bleak Haiwian landscape to celebrate with us. It's always nice to see a Kennedy that I've not ever seen lose their temper on a bobbin.
News from the shop is exciting for folks that are planning ahead for their spring projects but also for those who are REALLY planning ahead for next holiday season's projects because we have winter/holiday theme prints/fabrics marked down to up to 50% off!! Great time to consider the project that you just didn't get around to during the madness of the season this year; there's always next year and we can help you to do it for cheaper than ever (see so there WAS a reason you put it off afterall!). But again for those looking happily ahead toward spring and working on projects with that in mind, we have begun receiving and displaying our spring fabrics. Lots of new brights and beautiful prints waiting for our friends' creativity to bring them to life. We are also carrying a new ruler designed to make fast and easy prairie points that looks very exciting and we really can't wait to see what you all come up with! Much like Double Diamond rulers this new one makes even me myself capable of seemingly complicated technique so I encourage you all to check it out.
Also in Shop news both Gidget and Eli have been spoken to about their gambling problems and have both professed New-Years resolutions to put their family/RSQ first in 2011.
I think that's all the news for now. Before I sign off though I want to sincerely thank you all for making 2010 the great and fun year that it was for us all at RSQ because we never could do it without our customers and friends. Thank you all so very much from RSQ and we want to help you all to make 2011's projects even greater than last year for every last one of you.
Until next time...Quilt strong!
Tyson.
